Greenwich Family Arts Festival
On Saturday 8th July, hundreds of residents from Kidbrooke Village and the surrounding community braved the rain to watch Tramshed’s Greenwich Arts Family Festival, sponsored by Berkeley.
The Rajasthan Heritage Band kicked off the event with a spectacular celebration of the vibrant colourful lifestyle of Rajasthan. Through a music and dance performance in Pegler Square before leading the crowds across to Cator Park North. It was here that the Circus Raj took over with their elite street circus performers displaying a series of breath-taking acts of courage and bravery.
Cabinet Member for Regeneration Councillor Aidan Smith attended the event and said:
“Events like this are brilliant as it brings the community together. I liked the way it started in Pegler Square as it attracted crowds of people and as they moved across to the park you saw a group of kids playing football stop what they were doing and joined in.”
