June at Fennies
The month of June at Fennies Kidbrooke, Whittle Road has been filled with creativity, self-expression and opportunities for children to explore the world around them in new and exciting ways through the Fennies Curriculum.
A highlight this month was our exploration into fashion and sustainability, inspired by the iconic Vivienne Westwood. Children discovered how fashion can be both artistic and environmentally conscious, creating their own designs using tie-dye techniques, recycled materials and textured fabrics. This hands-on project encouraged imagination, conversation, and a sense of pride in their unique creations.
Our music and movement sessions also brought energy and joy to the nursery, as children used percussion instruments, colourful ribbons and dance to explore rhythm and sound.
These sessions particularly supported our younger children in developing motor skills, spatial awareness and physical expression through play-based learning experiences that linked sound to movement.
As we look ahead to summer, we’re excited to welcome families to our next Open Morning on Saturday, 12th July. If you’re curious about what makes Fennies Kidbrooke such a special place to learn and grow, this is the perfect opportunity to explore our purpose-built spaces and meet the passionate team behind our nursery.
We can’t wait to welcome you!
